[English] KOREA FINGERBOARD DECKS #2 (Dotorifb)

by LAZYPIPE 2024. 5. 2.

Today, I introduce the MADE IN KOREA fingerboard deck from

@dotorifb.

This Dotori deck is made by a kid named @jw_skate,

 12 years old.

I received it as a gift during the Seoul meetup on 4/27,

So, I'll write a review about it.

I personally chose the patterned wood.

Seeing it in person, it's shiny and very smooth.

The deck's kick is low
The concave is medium.

Perhaps because the maker himself prefers a lower kick,
his taste is well reflected.

The detailed aspects of the deck cannot be overlooked.
The nose and tail, side lines, holes, etc.,
are perfectly finished.
It's remarkable to achieve this level of quality at the age of 12.

If there's a slight downside,
it's a bit thicker compared to typical decks.

I'm not sure if it's because of less compression or using thicker wood.
(I haven't made decks myself, so I'm unsure of the reason.)

However, it's perfectly fine to use,
and can definitely be considered a good deck.

Since the rip tape hasn't been fully broken in yet,
it's difficult to evaluate the deck 100%,
but watching the videos, you'll definitely feel that it's a good deck.

Personally, I can't believe it's made by a 12-year-old.
Let's all follow and support @jw_skate, @dotorifb.

It would be great to witness this friend's endless improvement.

This introduction is based on the author's personal experience.
There may be differences for each individual, so please understand
